The Word Infusion

Its been a month since we were able to get back to our Wednesday night Bible Study in the book of I Thessalonians, so Pastor Terry decided to just start over and re-do I Thessalonians Chapter 2.  This time is it the complete chapter.  Back in November it was only part of the Chapter.  Chapter 2 focuses on Paul's ministry to the church in Thessalonica.  He had poured himself in to the people there.  He longed to return for a visit.  Several times he had tried and several times he had been prevented from going.  He reminds them that he had taught them to walk worthy of God's calling.  Are you walking worthy of God's calling on your life?

In this message Pastor tells us the ultimate goal of the Birth of Christ.  Yes, He came to redeem mankind and provide a way of salvation, but yet there is still more beyond that.

Pastor Terry speaks to us about how painful sacrifice in obedience to God can be joyful, because of God's Grace.  Primary examples shared are are from Jesus, Moses and Joseph (Father of Jesus) lives.

In this message Pastor Terry speaks to us about how we should be experiencing the fullness of our joy in Him and letting it overflow joyfully to others.  Sacrificing ourselves for others should not be out of our own honor, duty or selfish motives, but instead be out of the love we experience in God.  Our love will bring out the fullness of joy in Him and towards others!

Pastor Terry shares with us today about how the act of praise is completing our joy in Him.  Joy is not the object of praise.  Praise is the result of joy found in Him.

Pastor Terry is back with us for his first time since surgery.  He brings to us a lesson about Paul's ministry and his focus.  Paul as a minister of the gospel always took precautions to make sure that he didn't burden those he taught and led to the Lord.  Like Paul, we too, should put others first, but not to the point that we compromise the gospel.  We are to remember that we are not men pleasers, but God pleasers.

Special Guest Speaker Chuck Clayton speaks to us about "Counting the Cost" when we make the decision to follow Jesus.  It is more than just accepting Him in to our hearts.  Are we keeping our eyes on Jesus and following Him?  Is He really Lord of our lives?

Today we have special guest Daryl Watts bringing us a message on the "Reality of Your Life".  What is real and what is not?  God is real and He is the Great I Am.  Its our relationship with Him that will help us to deal with the reality of our lives.

In part 1 we learned that we need to pray with the right perspective.  In part 2 we will learn that we need to be devoted to prayer and with that will realize how great the power of God is.  We need to be alert in our prayer time and prepare ourselves for battle by putting on the armor of God.  We need to be patient and wait on the Lord for His answer.

Excellence in Prayer will greatly improve our walk with the Lord, our relationships and our service.  We need to learn to focus on praying with the right perspective.  This is part I of a two part message on prayer.
