Today, we continue our message series on the Beatitudes of Matthew Chapter 5. Our last message series dealt with our union with Christ and what that meant. This message series is meant to take us to the next level in that union with Christ living it out in this world. The life Jesus describes in the “Sermon on the Mount” is impossible for us to accomplish on our own. The Kingdom Life is only possible if we are united to the King.  Our union with Christ is the gateway to this new life. And today Pastor will discuss the foundation for living the Kingdom life. It all begins with being poor in spirit and mourning. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga #TheKingdomLife

As Baptists, we do not observe Lent, but as Christians there are things we can give up that would please the Lord.  When Jesus resurrected He showed that death does not have the last word.  We don’t have to put a period at the end of the sentence of our life. Today, we are going to talk about giving up our “Death”.   #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

In California and the West Coast of the United States there is a drought.  Dry, hard cracking fields abound.  Yet, there is a more important drought in the West and all over the world.  It is a spiritual drought.  Dry, hard and cracking hearts abound.  People who need to know the Lord are in a spiritual drought.  Thankfully, with the outpouring of God’s power by the Holy Spirit in the Believer’s life, those people who are in spiritual drought can also receive an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in to their lives when we witness and share the good news with them and they accept the Lord.  Through us the Holy Spirit can work in His power to outpour spiritual water on the dry fields in the world and bring forth a fruitful crop for the Lord. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Today’s message concludes our series of messages based on some of our favorite Christmas Songs of Faith. Last week we examined “Joy to the World”.  We looked at the three reasons this babe in the manger brings joy to the whole world found in Luke 2:11 taught to us by the angel who proclaimed this good news.  This week our song reminds us that we now need to share the good news of the birth of Christ and by going, and telling it on the mountain and everywhere…

Our love for God is based on the marvelous work He did on our behalf on the Cross and through His Resurrection.  In the beginning our love for Him was new and fresh.  But this first love of victory in Christ is only the beginning of a great love relationship with God, a love relationship that God is ready to reveal to us when we’re ready to receive it.  This first love experience with Jesus our Savior is just the beginning of a great and unexpected love relationship with Him.

Not only did Noah find grace in the eyes of the Lord as we read in Genesis, but we can conclude that he must have been looking for God’s grace in the wicked world in which he lived.  As a result, he and his family were blessed and saved.  He was not only given grace for salvation, but grace to complete the assignment God gave Him.  The same is true for us.  We must look for God’s grace and wait for Him to supply it to do the assignment He gives us.

Unfortunately, sometimes we do not have enough money in our bank accounts to withdraw what we need at the Bank’s ATM.  Thankfully, we have access to all the spiritual resources we need at God’s ATM Machine when we are believers.

Jesus uses some strong words to reveal how important it is that we have received Him and that we then share our hope with others.  We need to remember that sharing the gospel message will cause division amongst our family and friends.  However, we must hang in there and stand for Christ, despite any persecution or rejection.  We can witness to others using their questions about the signs of the times they are seeing.  We can also be straightforward and share with them that they will be judged for their sin, and that now is the day of their salvation and they should not be slow in accepting Jesus.  We can be thankful for all the opportunities that God provides for us to share His good news with others, because it is a chance to provide hope to the hurting and lost.
