In 1972, a Christian movie called, “A Thief in the Night” debuted. It told the story of Patty, who woke up to find out that her husband had been raptured and that she was left behind. She had been short-sighted, before the Rapture. She didn’t join her husband in believing. She did not have clarity of vision in life and did not look forward to the Lord’s coming. Spiritual clarity in life begins when we receive Christ as Savior, then with each step of obedience we gain clearer vision and stay focused on our future. During times like these we all need some clarity. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Today, for Easter Sunday, we gathered together in the Church Parking Lot for a “Drive-In” Church Worship Service. Everyone here today is celebrating our Risen Lord. The Good News of the Salvation He brought through His death and Resurrection gives us hope now. Hope that carries us through good and bad times. We need to share that Good News of His Resurrection and the hope He gives to everyone we meet when we drive back out of our churches and in to our communities. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Today, we continue our message series on the Beatitudes of Matthew Chapter 5. Our last message series dealt with our union with Christ and what that meant. This message series is meant to take us to the next level in that union with Christ living it out in this world. The life Jesus describes in the “Sermon on the Mount” is impossible for us to accomplish on our own. The Kingdom Life is only possible if we are united to the King. Our union with Christ is the gateway to this new life. And today Pastor will discuss the foundation for living the Kingdom life. As Baptists, we do not observe Lent, but as Christians there are things we can give up that would please the Lord. When Jesus resurrected He showed that death does not have the last word. In California and the West Coast of the United States there is a drought. Dry, hard cracking fields abound. Yet, there is a more important drought in the West and all over the world. It is a spiritual drought. Dry, hard and cracking hearts abound. People who need to know the Lord are in a spiritual drought. Thankfully, with the outpouring of God’s power by the Holy Spirit in the Believer’s life, those people who are in spiritual drought can also receive an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in to their lives when we witness and share the good news with them and they accept the Lord. Through us the Holy Spirit can work in His power to outpour spiritual water on the dry fields in the world and bring forth a fruitful crop for the Lord. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga
