The Book of James, written by the half brother of Jesus, to the Messianic Jews scattered due to persecution, inspires us to keep our faith and live in God's joy no matter what trials and tribulations we face in life. In this first part of chapter one, James tells us that as Christians we will face problems in this life, but we must have faith and not doubt. He also tells us how we can become wise.

In this bible study we will see the importance of living for Christ and making the most of our time on earth to witness for Him through our actions and words. We need to live seriously for the Lord, as if He were to come any time. Every moment counts. We are sons of the Light and should not live like sons of the darkness. We should also spend our time encouraging others of our faith to do the same.

I Thessalonians Chapter 4 covers a lot of ground. The Apostle Paul encourages us to live like Christ is going to come back soon. He teaches us that we should live with urgency. The point is also made that we need to live sexually pure lives. At the end of the chapter Paul gives us words of great comfort regarding those loved ones that have already gone on to Heaven.

Its been a month since we were able to get back to our Wednesday night Bible Study in the book of I Thessalonians, so Pastor Terry decided to just start over and re-do I Thessalonians Chapter 2. This time is it the complete chapter. Back in November it was only part of the Chapter. Chapter 2 focuses on Paul's ministry to the church in Thessalonica. He had poured himself in to the people there. He longed to return for a visit. Several times he had tried and several times he had been prevented from going. He reminds them that he had taught them to walk worthy of God's calling. Are you walking worthy of God's calling on your life?
