Once we have been saved (justified), we are called to live day to day by the faith.  Grace is what saved us and grace is what will sanctify us and help us live day by day in faith.

Do You Believe?

We were once alienated from God, but then we accepted Jesus as Savior.  This belief now caused us to be sojourners in this world.  We should no longer be calling this world our home.  Yet, many of us still linger in this world and cling on to our old life.  We make no progress to our new homeland.  Our lives do not prove that we even believe God and His Word.  We continue to live alienated from God by our own choice.  As the father told his son in “A Knight’s Tale”, “Follow your feet home.”

Saved!

Our salvation begins when we receive Jesus Christ as our personal Savior.  Once we have done that we can never lose our salvation, but where does our being “saved” go from there?  Biblically “To be saved” is defined three ways and today, we will look at the three tenses (past, present and future) of being saved.

Our Resource

God’s intention is for all Christians to be Spirit-filled.  First, a person must have salvation by faith through Christ.  Next a person must have a desire to surrender control of their life.  Lastly, a person must be persistently trusting God and living in Christ.  Being Spirit-filled is a continual experience.  As you walk in the Spirit you will see five basic characteristics of being Spirit-filled.  The key to being Spirit-filled, is to realize you already are and to tap in to that resource that God has given you to become all that He wants you to become and to bear much fruit for His glory.

Every family needs a father, contrary to what society may be teaching.  God established the perfect system for raising children.  Godly fathers are that much more important to their families, their community, their nation and the world.  Godly fathers not only impact their families, but they impact the generations that come after them.

The West (United States, Canada, Europe,  & Australia) statistically are seeing many changes in population ethnicity groups, income levels and in their amount of missions thrust or interest in sharing the gospel with others.  Whereas, other countries found in Latin America, Africa and Asia are experiencing an explosion of people coming to the Lord and in sending out missionaries (even here to America).  Even under severe persecution the people of these countries are committing to following and serving the Lord, as well as, sharing the gospel, even if it means their lives.  Why is that?  Why is there a difference between the West and the East?  What does God expect Christians in the West to be doing?  (We begin this message with a presentation of the Gideon's International Ministry)

God expects Humanity, not just Christianity, to keep His Word, His Truth.  Christians have an even higher responsibility to stand on the truth and not compromise.

Before Mother’s Day we learned about being the unconquered Light.  We are called to bear Christ’s light in this dark world, and to be able to do that we must live by faith.  Our faith must be seen in our works.
