Doubters

Many Christians face doubts during their walk with the Lord, from something very minor to something very major.  Even some of the great Bible Heroes we admire faced doubt.  The problem is not the doubt, but what we do with it.

As we see God’s nature demonstrated through His actions towards us through Christ, we need to let others see God’s nature through our words and actions towards them.

The King

How do we view Jesus in our lives?  Do we think of Him as solving our problems and bringing us prosperity and/or good health?  Or do we think of Him as our deliverer from our personal sin and as our King?

Jesus reveals to us in the “Beatitudes” man’s view of life and how it has distorted God’s plan for man’s life.  He shows us how we can be blessed or duped spiritually.

Chosen

As Christians, we need to seek the Lord’s Will for leadership positions within our churches and ministry/missions organizations.  We need to serve in unity and reach the lost.  Today we will see how Jesus chose His leadership team and how His disciples united and reached out to the lost during their time.

The religious leaders of Jesus’ day were letting their traditions and rules override God’s moral values.  This same issue can carry over today in to our churches.  One of the questions tied to this problem that Pastor Terry will answer today is “When is breaking the law not the same as being a good moral person?”

Many Christians have become “Spiritual Mixologists”.  Much like a bartender or “mixologist” specializes in mixing various alcoholic drinks, Christians are mixing the World’s Ways with God’s Ways.  We are called to put off the old man and put on the new man.  The mixing of our old life with our new life in Christ does not work.  Our life will become a cocktail that leaves a bad taste in God’s mouth.  We must let God set us into His building using us as the precious stone that He has made us to be.
