Completing Joy in Him!

Pastor Terry shares with us today about how the act of praise is completing our joy in Him.  Joy is not the object of praise.  Praise is the result of joy found in Him.

I Thessalonians Chapter 2 - Part 1

Pastor Terry is back with us for his first time since surgery.  He brings to us a lesson about Paul's ministry and his focus.  Paul as a minister of the gospel always took precautions to make sure that he didn't burden those he taught and led to the Lord.  Like Paul, we too, should put others first, but not to the point that we compromise the gospel.  We are to remember that we are not men pleasers, but God pleasers.

In part 1 we learned that we need to pray with the right perspective.  In part 2 we will learn that we need to be devoted to prayer and with that will realize how great the power of God is.  We need to be alert in our prayer time and prepare ourselves for battle by putting on the armor of God.  We need to be patient and wait on the Lord for His answer.

I Thessalonians Chapter 1 Bible Study

We start a new book of the Bible Study in Thessalonians.  This book was written by the Apostle Paul to the church in Thessalonica to encourage them on in their faith.  They were a highly persecuted church whose faithful stand was testified to in the known world.  Paul commended them for that and prayed for them to continue being faithful.

Excellence in Spiritual Attire

Pastor Terry encourages us to take the opportunity and choose to be clothed in the righteous character of Christ.  We are to put on with excellence our spiritual attire.  The most important of which is love.

Colossians Bible Study - Chapter 4

There is some great advice in Chapter 4 of the book to the Colossians.  A reminder of how are to live and speak.  We are be watched by those around us and we are a witness of Christ in our lives to them.  We also need to remember our fellow brothers and sisters in the Lord who serve faithfully.

Excellence in Integrity

Would God choose you out of a line up of people to serve Him and lead His people, because you have a heart of integrity?  Are you the same person in private that you show to other publically?  Pastor Terry encourages us to achieve excellence in the area of integrity in our lives in this message.
