God has set some goals before us to help us run the race so that we might win.  He has shared with us in His Word information about the rewards that await us in Heaven, if we live a righteous life of faith for Him.  If we meet the requirements required for each of these rewards, we can obtain up to five different crowns.  Crowns that glorify God. All moms have the opportunity to make a lasting imprint on their children.  That imprint can be in the shape of godliness or ungodliness.  A godly woman will turn from temporal things of this life to an eternal focus centered on God and His Kingdom.  What is the shape of your imprint as a mom?  This message not only applies to Moms, but to Dads or any individual. "According to Wikipedia, “Newton's cradle, named after Sir Isaac Newton, is a device that demonstrates conservation of momentum and energy via a series of swinging spheres. When one on the end is lifted and released, the resulting force travels through the line and pushes the last one upward…If one ball is pulled away and is let to fall, it strikes the first ball in the series and comes to nearly a dead stop. The ball on the opposite side acquires most of the velocity and almost instantly swings in an arc almost as high as the release height of the Last ball. This shows that the final ball receives most of the energy and momentum that was in the first ball.” Pastor Terry will preach from a verse in Ecclesiastes that demonstrates the “Solomon Cradle Effect” of extreme righteousness and extreme wickedness today. It can be very difficult to get perspective in the aftermath of disasters, personal tragedies and difficult situations.  Many questions arise.  Why did God allow this?  Where is God in this?  What does God want me to do in this situation?  Sometimes we look horizontally for perspective.  Other times we look vertically.  Today, our guest preacher, Peter Celum, will help us look at these difficult situations from God’s view.  We will focus on God's Word in Philippians 4: 4-9 and learn how we can experience God’s peace in every circumstance. Six weeks ago Pastor Terry preached a message entitled “What’s Your Worldview?” out of Luke 6.  Today, he will take a look at that passage again with a little different emphasis.  In a crisis or in your daily life, how do you treat or think about others?  As God’s children we need to make a distinction in the World by showing Christian love to everyone, including those we would consider our enemy or too different from ourselves.  The love we exhibit as Christian’s is God’s love.  A love that is very different from that of the World.  Our love needs to be initiated, uninhibited, and impacting to grow God’s Kingdom.
