First we must cry out to God and when He answers us with assurance of victory, we must step out in faith on His Word and take action. Then we will see God do mighty and miraculous things for us, through us and around us.

As we learned last week, God’s desire for His children and His Church is for them to experience their new life in Him! Then as we live our new life, we are to serve Christ and follow Him even into areas of darkness if Christ leads us to. We may called out of our areas of comfort or strengths, but with dependence on His Spirit we will glorify God. There will be no circumstance, person, situation, shortfall, problem or darkness that can hide the Light of Christ!

The Lord has a zeal for His House. He wants His House to be a House of Prayer. He wants His body of believers to unite with a Christ-like Mind and pray fervently in His House. He wants us to call upon Him. He wants us to depend on Him as a united body. Prayer is where it all begins. Without prayer, individual Christians and God’s Church will go nowhere. We are called on to make God’s House of Prayer and let Him do the rest.

God supplies all our needs. He supplies us with time, opportunities, money, material possessions, belongings, clothing, cars, food, etc. He also expects us to be wise with what He provides. He expects His followers to be as shrewd as a person of the world is with their resources. It starts with us being content with what He has supplied. From that basic attitude we are to use the resources He has given for His glory. As a result, we will store up treasures in Heaven. We will lay a foundation for our future with God.

The devil is very crafty and sneaky. He will do what he can to hit us and hit us hard. We need to be prepared for enemy attacks. Yes, once we receive Christ as our Savior, we become “heirs” of the promise. The promise of eternal life is given to us. However, the prize of being a “joint-heir” of Christ when He reigns is gained by living a lifetime willing to suffer for Him.
