For Christians thankfulness to God is not confined to a day or a season, but every day we should be mindful to be thankful and thank Jesus. Jesus is expecting us to have thankful hearts for what He has done for us.

Weary and Discouraged? Give Thanks!
Sunday Nov 20, 2016
Sunday Nov 20, 2016
After many years of bad economy, political and social changes, world instability, terrorism, moral decline, natural disasters, personal, relational and economic problems, and not the least the ever-increasing Christian persecution, we can become weary and discouraged. But through it all, as we look to God, He guides us and provides grace in every given need and situation. For this we are grateful with thankful hearts to God! We can find encouragement from the example of those who went before us and suffered, and by remembering Christ who endured much for us and we will not grow weary or discouraged as a result.

Jesus uses some strong words to reveal how important it is that we have received Him and that we then share our hope with others. We need to remember that sharing the gospel message will cause division amongst our family and friends. However, we must hang in there and stand for Christ, despite any persecution or rejection. We can witness to others using their questions about the signs of the times they are seeing. We can also be straightforward and share with them that they will be judged for their sin, and that now is the day of their salvation and they should not be slow in accepting Jesus. We can be thankful for all the opportunities that God provides for us to share His good news with others, because it is a chance to provide hope to the hurting and lost.

Thankful Faith
Sunday Nov 24, 2013
Sunday Nov 24, 2013
Two weeks ago we looked at the Veterans or Heroes of the Faith found in Hebrews 11: 1 – 7. We saw how our Christian faith must be upheld that others may see the Truth of God so they can enjoy the freedom that Christ provides. Last week we continued this look in to our personal faith and learn that we are temporary residents heading for a new homeland where we will enjoy our new citizenship. Greeting the promises of God head on like the Heroes of Faith taught us, we are to live in such a way as to demonstrate our new homeland faith. We are to set our eyes on things above and not on things of this earth. This week Pastor Terry concludes this series on Faith by reminding us that as Christians we should have a thankful faith that rejoices, because it sees "Hope" in God in all things.

Evidences of a Thankful Heart
Sunday Nov 18, 2012
Sunday Nov 18, 2012
With Thanksgiving occurring this week, we begin to think about the things we are thankful for. Many things usually come to mind. We are thankful for our salvation, for our family, for our church, etc. We say “Thank You” to God for what He has done for us and for what He has given us, but do we really show any evidence other than our words that demonstrates how truly thankful we are? Pastor Terry will speak to us today about how a “Thankful” heart towards God is evidenced by how we live.
