They know each other’s desires, dreams and habits. As Christians we are the Bride of Christ and we are called upon to know God’s desires.

God gave us His love in His only begotten Son given as payment for our sins, but that is not where God’s love stops. His love is wider, longer, deeper and higher than we can imagine. The Apostle Paul wanted us rooted and grounded in God’s love. Today, Pastor Terry will help us to know the difference between knowing God’s love and discovering God’s love. We will learn that God is glorified through our love relationship with Him!

The last few weeks we have looked at being devoted to God, worshiping God, and sharing the fruit of God. As a result of being devoted to God and worshiping God, we will also be able to trust God. We can trust in the Lord, because we have grown close to Him through devotion, worship and bearing fruit. We can hear His voice and receive His direction. We can understand His love and know that He is in control and will provide. We can learn to trust in the Lord and not ourselves.

The last few weeks we have looked at being devoted to God and worshiping God. When God is our first love and we spend time in vertical worship with Him throughout the week, we will naturally be changed and gain spiritual fruit. Our walk with the Lord will show our discipleship and glorify God. We will naturally grow fruit and share fruit with others.

Many Christians go to church on Sunday expecting to worship during the Worship Service, but is that what they end up doing? Many church goers are participating in what is called horizontal worship and not vertical worship. Any believer can worship anywhere at any time. A great praise team or preacher can help us get there, but it is not what is really needed. True worship comes from within the believer. This type of worship is what God is seeking. Once a Christian has experienced true worship, then they will naturally experience joy, peace and change.

In the book of Revelation we are told about the new name written on the white stone that we will receive from Jesus. This name will reflect our faithfulness in overcoming the challenges in our lives. Our new name will only be developed through a close relationship with Jesus. What will your new name be? What will your new name show about your relationship with Jesus? Before your new name is carved on your white stone make goals this new year to draw closer to our Lord.

Jesus was born to bring us peace. The angels greeted the shepherds with that very message on the day He was born. We need to let the peace of God sink into our lives, no matter what the circumstance! We need to seek peace and pursue it. We need to make peace with our fellow man, so that others might come to know God’s peace too.
