Jesus caught the disciples’ eyes and called them to follow Him. With Jesus’ power and authority He was able to turn these men into fishers for men. With Jesus in our boat/church/life, He calls us to stop mending our nets and throw them out for a catch.

Jesus went to His home town, Nazareth, and to His Missional Home Base, Capernaum, to demonstrate compassion to people from all backgrounds while sharing His good news. We, too, can share the gospel message in the same way Jesus did.

Even as a child, Jesus grew in wisdom, stature and favor with men and God. By the age of 12, He was already about His Father’s business. As Christians, young or old, we, too, should be about our Father’s business. Our optimal goal should be to please Him!

Like many Christmas songs, White Christmas embodied a longing for hope and peace and joy. The Hebrew people themselves looked forward to their white Christmas, based on the prophecies of their coming Messiah. They knew that someday their sins would be made white as snow. Zacharias blessing and prophecy that he sang on his son’s naming day is a song much like our Christmas songs of today. It foretold of the wonderful ministry his son would have and prophesied of the great Messiah he would usher in and all that the Messiah would do for His people.
