The second Sunday in November we honor our Veteran’s. We are thankful for the service they have provided our country. We pray for our Veteran’s and our active duty military. Their faithful service reminds us of our duty as Christians to be a Veteran of our Faith and to be willing to wage spiritual war. In this message Pastor Terry reminds of “Christianity 101: Wearing the Spiritual Armor” and how we are to take every thought captive and demolish strongholds. We start this podcast out with a special skit performed by the Pastor’s daughter.

The first Sunday in November is the day we have set aside to remember in prayer the persecuted Christians around the World. In the United States, we face mild to moderate persecution. From ridicule, hindrance of freedom, and even sometimes being jailed. Around the World Christians face imprisonment, torture and death for their faith in Christ. Churches are bombed and burned repeatedly in some areas. Yet, these faithful Christians continue on. Are you persecuted in any form? If not, why? How will you stand for Christ in times of persecution?

The human heart is a miraculous complicated organ. God designed its parts to synchronize and work together to labor for our bodies to function. In the same way our spiritual heart must be synchronized with God to labor for the Lord. Daniel Chapter 6 shows every Christian what to do when faced with man made laws that oppose God's laws or ways. Jealousy of other Babylonian/Persian government leaders leads to the making of a law that places every captive Jew, including Daniel in danger of losing their life. What choice does Daniel make? What choice would you make? Daniel being a godly man makes the only choice he could make and God responds by saving his life in the Lion's den. Daniel's great faith and obedient lifestyle lead to God's name being glorified.

Herod begins perscecuting the Church's leaders. He starts with executing James the Apostle and then moves on to arresting Peter. Through this experience the church grows in faith and numbers when they see how God miraculously saves Peter and ends Herod's life. We also learn the importance of believing that we will receive an answer to our prayers. We end this chapter with Peter moving off the scene and Paul's missionary journey's beginning.
