Every time our Moms give us a warning, trying to teach us a life lesson, or restrict our running crazy or doing whatever we want, it is because our Moms love us and want the best life for us and want to protect us. Moms are a great demonstration of God and His love for us. God only wants the best for us and seeks to sometimes put fences up around us only to protect us.  #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

In 1972, a Christian movie called, “A Thief in the Night” debuted.  It told the story of Patty, who woke up to find out that her husband had been raptured and that she was left behind.  She had been short-sighted, before the Rapture.  She didn’t join her husband in believing.  She did not have clarity of vision in life and did not look forward to the Lord’s coming. Spiritual clarity in life begins when we receive Christ as Savior, then with each step of obedience we gain clearer vision and stay focused on our future.  During times like these we all need some clarity.  #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

It takes both faith and works to get anywhere in the Christian life.  Doing is the evidence that one believes. We must activate faith, obedience and good works to experience the true blessing in God.  Through Jesus, the One who holds the Master Key, we will have doors opened for us that we did not expect when we live in faith and do good works in His Name for His Glory.  #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

The disciples were in God’s will and were obedient to His instructions and yet they were placed in a storm.  What was Jesus doing in that storm? Why did He give them those instructions? #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

We are all a part of the Body of Christ and He expects us to treat one another with kindness, gentleness, and patience.  We need to make intentional efforts to speak the right words at the right times to the right people.  Our goal is to build one another up with encouraging and helpful words spoken in love.  When we do, we have nailed it! #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

This last week at VBS we focused on “Snapshots of Jesus”.  When we live in the habitat God has designed and spend time with Him, people will see “Snapshots of Jesus” as they watch us. Today, we will expand more on what we discussed last week. When we listen to and obey the Holy Spirit it allows us to be in God’s Will and do God’s Will.  #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Associate Spanish Pastor William teaches us that entering a deep relationship with God depends on removing anchors from our life.  When we pull up anchors that are holding us back, then we will be fishers of men. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

As Baptists, we do not observe Lent, but as Christians there are things we can give up that would please the Lord.  Over the next 5 Sundays, we are going to talk about 5 things that we can give up to honor the Lord. If you have ever watched a Superman movie or read a Superman comic book, you probably know that there is only one thing that stops Superman:  Kryptonite, that fictional radioactive substance originally from his home planet.  Likewise, there is a “Kryptonite” that originated on our home planet that can neutralize us, a child of God.  Kryptonite not only neutralized Superman’s otherworldly abilities, but it also made Him weaker than a mere human being.  Our Kryptonite does the same to us.  Kryptonite’s huge advantage over Superman is that it isn’t easily recognizable, so he could come under its effects prior to identifying it.  Even so, the believer’s Kryptonite is weakening both individuals and the body of Christ as a whole, and to many it is still not recognizable.  Today, we are going to talk about giving up our “Kryptonite”.  #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga
