The Word Infusion

The Apostle John tells us not to love this World or the things in it.  We must avoid the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.  Are time is short and we need to be about God's Kingdom work instead.  He warns us about the Antichrist who is coming and those who are here now that have the spirit of the Antichrist as work in them.  He reminds them that these lie and deny that Jesus is the Christ or that He was not the Son of God.  They have already received Christ as their Savior and the truth is now in them.  They can not believe these lies.  He encourages us to abide in the truth and do not be deceived.

In this chapter we see preaching, signs, wonders, conflicts, healing, stoning, escape and the strengthening of new converts to Christianity.  God works powerfully through Paul and Barnabas.  So much so the Gentiles begin to see them as gods.  Paul quickly turns them around to see that they are not gods, but that God Almighty had done the miracles.

Any local Christian Church (an assembly of God's people that gathers together) can die (disolve).  It happens all the time.  Pastor Terry discusses the main reason why this happens.  He also reminds us that we have been given everything we need to bear good fruit for the Lord.

The Apostle John reminds us that we have an advocate in Heaven defending us against Satan who seeks to constantly accuse us when we sin.  He also reminds us that we can no longer walk in darkness, we are children of the Light and should be walking in the Light.

The Apostle Paul uses Old Testament prophesies to show that Jesus was the Messiah to the Jews.  As an end result at Antioch he decides to reach out to the Gentiles from then on.

There is a spiritual cancer that grows within the Church.  If it spreads, it will cause death.  What is it?  What can we do about it?  Is your spiritual life or the life of your church threatened?  Will you do something to stop this threat?

John the Apostle addresses the subject of false teachers that were trying to persuade Christians to follow their false teachings.  John writes to show that no true knowledge of God is possible without commitment to the divine-human Son of God.  Fellowship with God will be evidenced by faith in Christ, obedience ot His commands, and love for others.

Paul and Barnabas are set apart for reaching the Gentiles.  During their journey to Antioch they come to the island of Paphos where they encounter a sorcerer who was mis-guiding the governor/proconsul of the area.  Paul calls down blindness on him for his actions helping to lead the governor to the Lord.
