The last few weeks we have been talking about things that would help us to start our New Year out right, and help us to have a good year. Today, we are going to talk a little bit more about God’s forgiveness. Many of us spend time confessing our sins and yet, many of us still carry the guilt or can’t seem to accept God’s forgiveness. It’s almost as if we believe He is still mad at us, or can’t really forgive us or that He spends time re-thinking about our sin. This is no way for us to live or think. We cannot move ahead in life or have a good year, when we don’t accept or believe God has forgiven us. Just how far has he forgiven us? As far as the East is from the West! We are living in a time period of much noise. We are living in troublesome times and intense uncertainty. With the War in Ukraine, many are concerned about WWIII beginning. Our world seems like a chaotic and scary place. Today, we are looking at Psalm 46 written during another chaotic time in Israel when the enemy surrounded Jerusalem. In the midst of the world falling apart, we can have peace. We have a refuge to run to. We have a fortress to stay in. We just need to be still and know God. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

They are lying on the side of so many roads, left behind by abuse, addiction, imprisonment, loss, famine, disease, violence, tyranny and oppression. There are people who are broken by injustice, stripped of their belongings, dignity, identity and self-worth. As Christians we can show compassion to people who are hurting or in need. We just need to cross the street, stop and stoop, and go out to the weary and scattered and lead them to the Shepherd. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

We all need to remember that Jesus died for everyone in the World and that we need to not show contempt towards those who oppose us or are different than us. Instead we need to show God’s love, compassion and kindness towards one another with the goal of teaching others about God’s love for them. We must fight against contempt. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Today, we continue our message series on the Beatitudes of Matthew Chapter 5. Our last message series dealt with our union with Christ and what that meant. This message series is meant to take us to the next level in that union with Christ living it out in this world. The life Jesus describes in the “Sermon on the Mount” is impossible for us to accomplish on our own. The Kingdom Life is only possible if we are united to the King. Our union with Christ is the gateway to this new life.
