The Word Infusion

Pastor Terry provides us with some new insights in to why we need to strive for excellence even in the Lord's Supper.  To partake of the Lord's Supper is to profess our faith in Christ, our Savior, and to affirm our union with Christ amongst one another.  It is to commit ourselves to life in Christ.

In this lesson Pastor Terry encourages us to change our focus.  Think on things above, not on earthly things.  Put on the new self that comes when we accept Jesus in to our heart.  We have been chosen of God and we need to have a new heart and new ways.

A healthy church requires its members to be achieving excellence in Koinonia/Fellowship.  Fellowship through Bible Studies, Worship Services, Work Days, Outtings, Social Events, and Potlucks are some of the ways this can be achieved.  Listen to Pastor Terry as he explains why Fellowship is so important to the health and growth of a church.

We continue our study of Chapter 2 in the Book of Colossians.  We need to remember that Christ is the Head of the body.  We are the body.  Without Him the body would die.  He supplies what we need to live.  He controls the flow of life giving supplies we need to thrive.  He brings the growth.  Rules, laws, ceremonies are not the key to our spiritual life, Christ is.

Part three in our Excellence Series.  In this message Pastor Terry will show us why we need to give our best in worship.  It's biblical and glorifying to God.

Pastor Terry starts with a review of the end of Chapter 1 in Colossians and then moves on to cover the first 12 verses of Chapter 2.  Pastor Terry  reminds us how important the unity of the body of Christ is.  We must be knit together in love.

In this lesson Pastor Terry talks to us about the incomparable Christ.  In Him we have redemption and all things are held together.

Give your best in the things you do, whether it be work, family life, ministry, etc.  Excellence is our goal.  Excellence is what Christ expects.  What a testimony we will have to others if we strive for excellence.  What glory we bring to God when we have the mind-set of excellence.

There are so many things diverting our thoughts from God.  In this Chapter God gives us specific instructions about what we are to think about and focus on.  Pastor Terry shows us how Paul was so confident in his example that he expected others could follow it.  Are you that confident about your Christian example?
