We often wonder what it is that separates those who achieve great things from those who only long to do something significant in their lives. Why does God bless some people with achieving those great things and others don’t seem blessed that way?  Perhaps the answer to these questions lies in the our answer to Jesus’ question, “What Do You Want Me to Do For You?” #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Bridges allow us to cross waterways and canyons. They take us from where we are to where we want to go. But a bridge goes both ways. It not only takes us to where we want to go, but it can take us back to where we were. Our lives contain spiritual bridges disguised in physical decisions. Sometimes we come to a spiritual waterway or canyon and we don’t’ know how to cross it. But we can cross that bridge with God’s help in to our better future. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

In 1972, a Christian movie called, “A Thief in the Night” debuted.  It told the story of Patty, who woke up to find out that her husband had been raptured and that she was left behind.  She had been short-sighted, before the Rapture.  She didn’t join her husband in believing.  She did not have clarity of vision in life and did not look forward to the Lord’s coming. Spiritual clarity in life begins when we receive Christ as Savior, then with each step of obedience we gain clearer vision and stay focused on our future.  During times like these we all need some clarity.  #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Many feel that their destiny lies in the hands of that mysterious entity called “Fate”.  This is not an accurate view.  We need to understand that our destiny is a choice.  Fate doesn’t control our destiny.  No matter what our physical destiny in life ends up being, as long as, we make choices based on Christ’s leadership and live out our lives based on our citizenship in Heaven, God will use us and our destiny to glorify Him.

Over the last few weeks we have learned that life lived without God is empty and that we have a limited amount of time to live on this earth.  Our lives must have a vision to discern God’s specific purpose and opportunity that He has planned for us. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Today, we begin an eight-week message series on the Beatitudes of Matthew Chapter 5. Our last message series dealt with our union with Christ            and what that meant. This message series is meant to take us to the next level in that union with Christ living it out in this world. The life Jesus describes in the “Sermon on the Mount” is impossible for us to accomplish on our own. The Kingdom Life is only possible if we are united to the King.  Our union with Christ is the gateway to this new life. And today Pastor will discuss whether we are living the Kingdom life now or later.  #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga #TheKingdomLife

Imagination is a powerful tool that God has given to us to use for our lives on earth and to learn about Him and His ways.  This message series will explore some of the images that Jesus and His Disciples used to teach us about God and what our union with Christ means.  This week we start with the unseen.   #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga #Imaginationatfsbc

American culture is a culture of comfort. It’s being sold to us everywhere we look. We’re encouraged to do what we want, when we want, with whomever we want. If something is uncomfortable, we want to avoid it at all costs. The Christian faith, though, is just that: uncomfortable. This is our last message in this series and we are going to look at how we are to embrace, understand, and see the beauty and hope in the challenging realities of being part of God’s people.  #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga #Uncomfortable
