Last week we saw that as Jesus entered Jerusalem, he not only entered as King on that donkey, but He entered as a willing sacrifice and we saw that foretold in the story of Isaac when he went as a willing sacrifice with his father, Abraham, to Mount Moriah.  Today, we will look at the foreshadowing of Christ’s Resurrection and return for His Bride, the Church, in the story of Isaac and Rebecca.

Israel did not realize the time of their visitation by the Messiah. They had the scriptures of prophecy, but neglected them. They missed out on the peace God would have given them. They missed out on the relief He would have provided. Did you recognize the time of your visitation? Are you gaining the peace and relief you need as you face your daily struggles?

The disciples of Jesus became sad and discouraged at His death, but all they needed to do was remember what He told them.  Jesus presented himself multiple times to the disciples to remind them of what He had said.  When they listened to His Word they were encouraged and hope was restored.  We, too, must remember what He has told us in His Word and live in joy and hope.

This is the Good Friday "Service of Darkness".  This Service of Darkness commemorates the suffering and death of Christ, and is based on the ancient Tenebrae.  Candles symbolize Christ, who is our Light and the Light of the World.  This services starts with two songs on the Harp.  The Praise team leads in some special music while Pastor paints a Pastel Art depicting what Christ did for us.  In between songs the Pastor reads the 7 last words of Christ.  To see the video of this service visit: http://vimeo.com/channels/130139
