We have been talking about our spiritual wells. Jesus supplies us this never-ending well of Living Water for life. However, our enemy, Satan, wants to stop up our wells so we no longer have what we need. He tries to push us out of our Promised Land. Our Savior, our Lord, our King has come and we should want to share this good news with the world. The Shepherds recognized that after worshipping their Messiah, they needed to move on from there and tell others about Him. As a result others heard the good news and marveled too! When we first meet Jesus, we are amazed, we bow down and worship Him and Praise Him. But then that experience should drive us to run out into the streets and tell whose we meet about our experiences with Him and about what He did for us and can do for us. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Many songs we sing at Christmas are reminders that Christmastime is supposed to be happy. Songs like "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas," "Jingle Bells," and "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" all communicate that Christmas time is to be a joyous, trouble-free season. But as we talked about last week, for some of you, personal problems may be keeping you from experiencing the joy of the season. It is supposed to be, as the song says, "the most wonderful time of the year" and the "hap-happiest season of all." But for many it will be a very difficult time because something has interrupted the joy. It may be sickness, or death, or divorce, or loneliness. We look to the Christmas season to be a time of perfect peace, harmony, and joy. But the first Christmas was not that way. It was an interruption. Interruptions can happen at any time. We need to respond to interruptions God’s way so we can gain His peace and joy. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

As we transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas we need to remember that God deserves our thanks for He gives us life and all things. But our gratitude for His gifts should not cause us to feel the need to try and repay God for His gifts of mercy and grace to us. Instead, gratitude should fuel our faith in God, and deepen our love for God, the Giver. No payback is necessary with God, unlike what we might feel when receiving Christmas gifts from friends and family . Just accept His gifts. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

This morning we are concluding our sermon series “Miracles of Christmas”. The Angels proclaimed the birth of the long-awaited Messiah. No doubt most of Israel expected a warrior or a mighty King and would have trouble accepted the Angel and Shepherds proclamation that the Messiah had come in such a humble way. The radical claims of the Miracle of the Manger did not stop there. Jesus made some radical claims about Himself when he began His ministry years later. Do you believe He is who the Angels and He said He was? Do you believe the Miracle of the Manger? #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga
