God creates us in our Mother’s Womb and gives us physical life.  When we receive His Son as Savior, He then gives us eternal life, a new life.  The question is:  Did we choose new life with Him and what did we choose to do with the new eternal life He gives us?  #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga

Many feel that their destiny lies in the hands of that mysterious entity called “Fate”.  This is not an accurate view.  We need to understand that our destiny is a choice.  Fate doesn’t control our destiny.  No matter what our physical destiny in life ends up being, as long as, we make choices based on Christ’s leadership and live out our lives based on our citizenship in Heaven, God will use us and our destiny to glorify Him.

Everyone leaves a legacy behind.  Some are good legacies by the world’s standards, others are not.  As Christians our goal should be to leave a godly and good legacy behind when we go to be with the Lord.  Like the Israelites, God has brought us out of Egypt or sin and given us a good land to possess.  Our new life in Christ must not be stalled out wondering in the desert like the Israelites did.  We must go live our new life in the good land.  With God we will conquer the giants we meet and we will do good for others in the process that glorifies God.  First we have a “to do” list to accomplish to be able to leave that legacy behind.

Christians mature at different rates of speed.  Maturity in the Lord comes not with age, but with a desire for spiritual vitality.

Many Christians have become “Spiritual Mixologists”.  Much like a bartender or “mixologist” specializes in mixing various alcoholic drinks, Christians are mixing the World’s Ways with God’s Ways.  We are called to put off the old man and put on the new man.  The mixing of our old life with our new life in Christ does not work.  Our life will become a cocktail that leaves a bad taste in God’s mouth.  We must let God set us into His building using us as the precious stone that He has made us to be.

Over the last few weeks we have learned that life lived without God is empty and that we have a limited amount of time to live on this earth.  Our lives must have a vision to discern God’s specific purpose and opportunity that He has planned for us. #fsbcsermon #fsbccoalinga
