Do You Believe?
Sunday Jul 20, 2014
Sunday Jul 20, 2014
We were once alienated from God, but then we accepted Jesus as Savior. This belief now caused us to be sojourners in this world. We should no longer be calling this world our home. Yet, many of us still linger in this world and cling on to our old life. We make no progress to our new homeland. Our lives do not prove that we even believe God and His Word. We continue to live alienated from God by our own choice. As the father told his son in “A Knight’s Tale”, “Follow your feet home.”

God’s intention is for all Christians to be Spirit-filled. First, a person must have salvation by faith through Christ. Next a person must have a desire to surrender control of their life. Lastly, a person must be persistently trusting God and living in Christ. Being Spirit-filled is a continual experience. As you walk in the Spirit you will see five basic characteristics of being Spirit-filled. The key to being Spirit-filled, is to realize you already are and to tap in to that resource that God has given you to become all that He wants you to become and to bear much fruit for His glory.
