Last week we took at "Love Lost". It was a message dealing with recognizing if you are losing or have lost your "First Love" as spoken of in Revelation Chapter 2. This week Pastor Terry helps us to understand that our "First Love" is just a beginning place. From there we are to grow more in love with the Lord. We are to remain loyal, like a Bride and Groom are to remain loyal when they are married. We should be moving beyond spiritual milk and on to spiritual meat in our relationship with God. We are not to grow lazy in our walk, but be faithful and persevere.

In chapter 1 of I Timothy, Pastor Terry reminds us that we need to guard the truth. We are to know the true gospel message and doctrines of the Lord and not accept any others. Through the Apostle Paul's life example we are encouraged in this chapter to share with others that God's grace is sufficient for anyone. God is able to take the worst offender and turn his/her life around. God's grace that we receive through our belief in what Christ did for us changes us for His glory. It doesn't matter what we did in this life, only what Christ has done for us and through us. We are to keep up the good fight of faith for the Lord.
In this section of the Book of James, we will focus on what true wisdom looks like and how pride and selfish ambition lead to strife in the church. This section will end with some great advice from James. He advises us to submit to God, resist the Devil, draw near to God, purify our hearts, and humble ourselves. Another power packed section of scripture to think on and incorporate in to our lives.
Our love for Christ generates the Light of Christ in our world through our own personal lives and our churches as the body of Christ. God's Word warns us not to lose our first love or our lampstand will be removed. That should concern us and help to keep us on track with keeping up our first love. Pastor Terry talks to us about falling from our first love and learning to recognize when we are falling and what we can do to stop the fall.
Pastor Terry speaks to us about the power of the tongue. With the great illustrations in James Chapter 3, we will learn how as Christians we are not to use both words of blessings and words of cursings. Our speech should be a fresh flowing spring of good, clean, and refreshing words.
We begin this podcast with the "Father's Love Letter". Then Pastor Terry will show us in Romans 8 just how much God loves us. Then we will see in I John 4 that just as He loved us, we should love one another.
James addresses the conflict between those who believe faith is all we need and those who believe that works is necessary to be saved. He will show us examples of the genuine faith of old testament Saints who showed their faith by their works. Genuine faith will always naturally result in good works.
Last week we looked at how important it is for us to take even one small step at a time in our walk with Lord. This week Pastor Terry shows us how important it is that we keep up those footsteps of faith. We need to remember that the righteous live by faith, not by sight. By faith we need to reach forward to what is ahead. Our faithful steps will lead to even greater faith in our God.
In this Chapter the Apostle Paul warns the church that its people should not be idle. Everyone must work for their food. Yes, we must help those in true need, but it is expected that one must be willing to work if they can. Laziness has no place amongst God's people.
